Summer Movie Camp

Welcome to our Summer Movie Camp for 2017! The Gem is proud to offer our loyal Summer Movie Camp fans the opportunity to see some excellent movies at a discounted price. Check down below for the current schedule of movies and showing dates for 2017.

The Gem Theatre offers Summer Movie Camp every Tuesday at 10:00am and 12:30pm while schools are out for summer vacation.

All movies cost $1.00.

Special concession prices are available for groups of 15 or more who order in advance*. Click here to fill out our online form so we can be all ready for your group!

If you have a group of 100 or more (or a combination of groups that are greater than 100) This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for a special screening. Special screenings are usually shown on Wednesday mornings, but they are not regularly scheduled.

*Special concession prices are available for groups of 15 or more only if ordered in advance (before 5:00pm on Monday). A small drink and a box of popcorn will be ready for your group upon arrival for $2.00 per person. If your order is not placed before 5:00pm on Monday, groups will be charged the regular prices at the concession stand.

 

June 27 - Storks

Storks deliver babies - or at least they used to. Now, they deliver packages for a global internt retail giant. Junior (Andy Samberg), the company's top delivery stork, lands in hot water when the Baby Factory produces an adorable but wholly unauthorized girl. Desperate to deliver this bundle of trouble, Junior and his friend Tulip (Katie Crown), the only human on Stork Mountain, race against time to make their first baby drop before the boss (Kelsey Grammer) finds out.

July 4 - Trolls

After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy (Anna Kendrick), the happiest Troll ever born, and the overly-cautious, curmudgeonly Branch (Justin Timberlake) set off on a journey to rescue her friends. Their mission is full of adventure and mishaps, as this mismatched duo try to tolerate each other long enough to get the job done.

July 11 - Ice Age: Collision Course

Manny the mammoth starts to worry when his daughter Peaches announces her engagement. Still unlucky in love, Sid the sloth volunteers to plan the couple's wedding. To Manny's dismay, nothing can stop the upcoming nuptials, except maybe the end of the world. When Scrat accidentally launches himself into outer space, he sets off a chain reaction that sends an asteroid hurtling toward Earth. Now, the entire herd must leave home to explore new lands and save itself from Scrat's cosmic blunder.

Dapper Koala Buster Moon presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times. An eternal optomist, and a bit of a scoundrel, he loves his theater above all and will do anything to preserve it. Facing the crumbling of his life's ambition, he takes one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world's greatest singing competition. Five contestants emerge: a mouse, a timid elephant, a pig, a gorilla and a punk-rock porcupine.

July 25 - The Peanuts Movie

Life always seems complicated for good ol' Charlie Brown (Noah Schnapp), the boy who always tries his best against seemingly impossible odds. When the Little Red-Haird Girl moves into his neighborhood, Charlie Brown develops a crush on her. Meanwhile, his best friend Snoopy embarks on an epic adventure in a fantasy world. As a World War I flying ace, the lovable beagle pursues his nemesis, the Red Baron, while also trying to win the heart of a beautiful poodle named Fifi (Kristin Chenoweth).

August 15 - Rock Dog

For the Tibetan mastiffs on Snow Mountain, a dog's life has a simple riff - guard a peaceful village of sheep from the thuggish wolf Linnux and his rabid pack. To avoid distractions, mastiff leader Khampa forbids all music. However, when his son Bodi discovers a radio that fell from the sky, it takes just a few guitar licks for the lad's fate to be sealed. Wanted to be a rock 'n' roll star, Bodi heads to the city to locate Angus Scattergood, a legendary musician who needs to write a new song.

There are big changes brewing in Gotham, but if Batman (Will Arnett) wants to save the city from the Joker's (Zach Galifianakis) hostile takeover, he may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. Maybe his superhero sidekick (Michael Cera) and loyal butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) can show him a thing or two.
